With the rapid development of cloud computing technology,related services and applications appear in a large number,and the data center network architecture gradually adjusts to meet the requirements of the current development of the Internet.Not only a large number of external applications traffic,but also the communication data flow between servers within the data center inject into the new architecture,which enlarge the impact of the load imbalance,low bandwidth utilization and poor network performance problems.In order to fully use the idle bandwidth,making the network being load balancing becomes a key problem to solve.OpenFlow is a standardized protocol specification of software defined network technology.It decouples the control panel from the underlying network device,centralizes the management and enables programming of network,which makes OpenFlow becoming a popular technique to solve network problems.Traffic load balancing technology in data center network(DCN)based on OpenFlow protocol is studied in this paper,and a load balancing strategy based on max-flow named MFLBS is proposed.1.Firstly,the paper presents the strengths and weaknesses of existing programs after the research of current situation of load balancing in DCN.Then it introduces the current topology of DCN,and the main trend of east-west direction traffic instead of north-south direction in the DCN after the popularity of cloud computing.After that,the paper elaborately introduces the SDN architecture,detailed description of the OpenFlow protocol flow table,OpenFlow control messages categories,and the Floodlight controller.2.After analyzing the imbalance problem of DCN,an algorithm of finding the max-flow path for DCN to calculate the best load-balanced path for data forwarding is put forward,along with using the multi-path features to simplify the topology,which is called MFLBS.3.The paper presents the detailed and specific design of the system,as well as the implementation of key functional modules.4.Finally,the paper uses Mininet and Floodlight controller to build the experimental environment,and carries out the compared experiment with ECMP-Hash algorithm.The experiment result shows that the load balancing system based on MFLBS has a lower degree of load imbalance,minimal packet loss and efficient utilization of network resources.
