With the rapid development of Big Data and Cloud Computing,the size of data center network continues to expand and network traffic continues to increase.How to schedule the traffic of data center network to ensure network load balance becomes an urgent problem.OpenFlow is an emerging network technique,and is also the prototype implementation of Software Defined Networking(SDN).OpenFlow decouples the control and data forwarding plane,and utilizes the centralized controller to realize the unified management of the network.OpenFlow provides a new solution for data center load balance.This paper studied the load balance of data center based on OpenFlow,and proposed two load balancing algorithms.On the basis of algorithms this paper proposed,we implemented load balancing system.The research contents and main achievements of this paper includes following aspects.(1)The data center features and the existing load balancing algorithms were studied in this paper.This paper analyzed the features of the data center network traffic and topology,and studied the problems of the existing data center load balancing technology.(2)This paper proposed the Global Load Balance(GLB)algorithm and the Global Probability Path Load Balance(GPPLB)algorithm.According to different characteristics of data center network flows,the GLB algorithm used different scheduling modes for elephant flow and mouse flow to realize load balance.Based on the GLB algorithm,the GPPLB algorithm considered bandwidth fragmentation in elephant flow scheduling.(3)Based on the GLB algorithm and GPPLB algorithm,this paper designed and implemented a load balancing system.The system was divided into four modules and each module was designed in detail.(4)The GLB algorithm and the GPPLB algorithm were verified.Based on the loading balancing system and the simulated fat tree network,the GLB and GPPLB algorithm were simulated.The results showed that compared with the ECMP algorithm,the two algorithms this paper proposed can improve the average bandwidth utilization,reduce the average transmission delay,and had a good performance on load balance.Compared with the GLB algorithm,the GPPLB algorithm considered bandwidth fragmentation and had better performance.
