In the booming time of "Internet+",the demands of people begin to more and more incline to multimedia,mobility,networking,and big data.In this inevitable trend,the current network dimensioning has been far beyond the idea of the original design of the network.The Current network,in response not only to the complex network environment and gradually increasing network demands,but also to more easily manage the network and increase the routing function,has resulted in a number of complex routing protocols.However,IPv4-based network architecture can not solve these problems fundamentally.Therefore,the design of the next generation network architecture is also gradually evolved and network system based OpenFlow protocol which is designed by the Stanford is undoubtedly one of a very bright star.Software-defined networking(SDN)arising this,has gradually become the mainstream in next generation network research,and has been widely used and development in data center and cloud computing which has get strong support of many large Internet companies,such as Cisco,NEC and Huawei.Information Center Network(ICN)is the focus of future research about network evolution scenario,and gradually gets more and more attention of researchers.Information center network is information-centric.Different from the traditional IP network's host-to-host communication,the information centric network's information requester does not care specific location of content stored but just needs to tell the network the name of the desired information.The multimedia traffic in the network has been the explosive growth,and the slender structure of the IP network is increasingly difficult to meet the rapidly growing demand of the people on the network.ICN's appears is undoubtedly a positive response to the needs of the existing network.As two quite attention networking star,SDN and ICN have their own characteristics and advantages which have high research value.The combination of them,using the SDN's separation of control and forwarding and ICN's information-centric communication,must be able to meet the great modern network rapidly growing traffic demand.With new technologies and new ideas,the development of networking will undoubtedly have a very good role in promoting.This paper analyzes the results of research and architectural features about SDN and ICN.Based on SDN's separation,the network architecture SD-ICN which has the ICN's characteristics has been proposed.Against the characteristics of SDN,I designed various functional modules which are logical separated,as well as traffic and cache and multi-path and ICN subscription model.Finally,based on the vision of the proposed SD-ICN,I test simulation platform.In the end of the study I made a prospect about SDN combined with ICN.
