With the development of optical communication technology,fiber optic transmission capacity has been greatly improved.By all-optical sampling,the sampling process can be transferred from the electric field to the optical domain,the obtained optical sampling signal is then converted into electrical signal by the photoelectric detector to peak detection,thereby avoiding "electronic bottleneck" restrictions.It has very important significance for an accurate grasp of receiving signal quality,and to ensure the stability and reliability of the communication system.The research and analysis of different SOA-based optical sampling programs are studied in this paper.The main contents are listed as follows:1.Different configurations of optical sampling systems and their principles are introduced,and the research status of SOA are briefly described combine with the development of SOA.A variety of SOA nonlinear effects and three different theoretical models of semiconductor optical amplifier are introduced,and a brief description of the spatial segmentation model algorithm is also given.2.The NPR effect of SOA,especially polarization-dependent phase characteristics are studied,and the effects of bias current,optical power and the polarization-dependent gain and linewidth enhancement factor on the polarization phase are discussed.The electronic control and light control polarization switches is compared.The 40GHz all-optical sampling based on SOA's NPR effect are demonstrated,and then discusses the effects of pulse width and analog signals with different frequency on sampling linearity and conversion efficiency.3.The working principle of UNI are introduced,and the transmittance function is derived using the Jones formalism.On this basis,the effects of PMF,control pulse,signal power and bias current,linewidth enhancement factor on UNI switch window properties are studied.Then simulates the UNI switch window properties based on SOA and analyzes the performance of UNI switch windows with QD-SOA comparatively.
