Hugely information is in aspiration in the society. Optical communication is the most advantage technology for the demand. The all optical regeneration is required to regenerate the optical signal. Optical decision gate is a vital component in all optical 3R. In this paper, the optical decision scheme is analyzed and researched. We use the UNI scheme and spread our work in following aspects:At first, the principle of schemes in existence are analyzed and compared. The characteristic is elaborated. And the advantage, disadvantage and statues quo are compared.SOA is demonstrated and analyzed in theory. Adopting an experiment named as 10Gbit/s wavelength conversion to validate the analysis. The output is received while the power of control light, continual wave light and the current of SOA are adjusted. The simulation and experiment go along. They have the same conclusion.Several configuration of the current scheme of UNI are compared. The characteristics are expatiated. UNI is discussed in theory. The 10Gbit/s optical decision gate is simulation by matlab6.5 while the control light, CW light and the current of the SOA. At last, the switching efficiency is simulation. The experiment of the UNI is put up by changing the control light, CW light and the current of the SOA. The outcome of the experiment is in agreement with the simulation outcome. In addition, the single arm interferometer configuration is carried out to complete the 20Gbit/s optical gate.UNI is in sameness with TOAD in theory. The outcomes of the two experiments are in same. So we can draw a conclusion that the theory analysis and experiment can be used for reference for both of them.
