In the context of increasing scientific research cooperation, the knowledge flow in China's journalism and communication is not only reflected in the cooperation between scholars, but also in the scholars migration.Due to the uneven distribution, these two forms of knowledge flow produce different kinds of academic communities.Together they constitute today's journalism and communication, and continue to affect the new knowledge flow.On the basis of a network analysis of the 49 universities on coauthorship and scholars migration, this paper empirically explores the linkages among, and configurations of,core theories and concepts underlying earlier empirical research on coauthorship and scholars migration networks.A chief finding is that knowledge flow network is smooth and universities are more willing to cooperate. However, clique phenomenon is emerging which will affect the overall knowledge flow, and thus cause the separation of knowledge. In addition, universities in the same area are more inclined to cooperate with each other, indicating that knowledge flow is also subject to geographical constraints.Academic community is a typical strong relationship network, cooperation between the scholars are often teacher-student relationship, pupils of the same teacher, alumni relations, there is a greater similarity between the knowledge of each other. Finally, this paper analyzes the causes of this phenomenon and the enlightenment to the development of journalism and communication. |
