Research On The Knowledge Exchange Of Members In Virtual Academic Community Based On Sciencenet

Virtual communities is a social group generated by the interaction of Internet user under the context of Internet environment, it’s opposed to the communities in reality and the microcosm of the community network in the real world. Virtual academic community is a virtual community platform in order to make academic exchanges to be more efficient and convenient and a new platform to perform academic exchanges built up by the computer-based and information technology. The virtual academic community not only make a powerfule supplement for the traditional academic knowledge exchange,but also meet the basic needs of scientific research,and academic activities on the internet, thus becoming an important knowledge exchange and sharing platform for scientific worker.Through the analysis of the number,type, concentration and dispersion characteristics of links between the web pages,link analysis is used to the evaluation of network information resources and network information mining and other fields. Scholars from different disciplines research on link analysis from different angles, which evolved out of different link analysis research paradigm. In the field of information science, scholars introduced social network analysis (SNA) in the sociology to link analysis research, then a link analysis method based on social network analysis come into being, which research the clustering and automatic classification of web pages, co-links analysis, knowledge community issues with the means of drawing Knomledge mapping and analyzing the structure of networks by treating web sites, web pages, links, and other concept related to links all as a member of network.Therefore, the networks virtual community research based on social network analysis is proved to be another important application of link analysis research.Comprehensive considering the research results related to knowledge exchange in virtual academic community in both domestic and abroad,it can be divided into two categories according to the research content:First,this part of researches take the members or users of virtual academic communities as research object, its research content include a link relationship between its members, user behavior, knowledge management,and so on. the second part of research is almost the demonstration of the knowledge exchange,knowledge sharing,knowledge management in virtual academic community from the theoretical level. In addition, there is also a small part of the research taking the content in virtual academic community (blog for blog community, post for forum community, etc.) as reseatch object and studying its influence on knowledge exchange. But there is still not a comprehensive research on the law and characteristics of knowledge exchange in virtual academic community from different forms of knowledge exchange, so,this research will has both important theoretical and practical significance and profound social significance.The main content of the research consist of seven chapters, which are structured as follows:Chapter 1,introduction.The research background,research significance and structure of this thesis are set forth.This review focuses on two aspects of the research content. The first aspect is about research on virtual communities, the definition of virtual community and an overview of the current main research content and direction of virtual community by both domestic and foreign researchers are refered. The second aspect is to review the topic and content of research on virtual academic communities,to introduce the contents and results of research on virtual academic community by the predecessors,and to summarize the shortcomings of previous studies.Chapter 2, the theoretical foundation and research method. This chapter describes the main theoretical foundation in this paper:link analysis and research method:social network analysis. It also describes the main tools used in this paper:UCINET.Chapter 3, data collection and pre-processing. The main research method used in this paper is the link analysis and social network analysis, whose research process generally include three parts:data collection, data pre-processing and data analysis. This chapter introduces the research object of this study, the data collection methods used, and the basic format of the data collected and elaborated methods for data preprocessing.Chapter 4,the analysis based on the friend link network. This chapter is mainly about revealing the laws and characteristics knowledge exchange through the analysis and research of the overall network structure, substructure within the network, the network centric degree of the friend link network.Chapter 5, the analysis based on the blog recommendation network. This chapter is mainly about revealing the laws and characteristics knowledge exchange through the analysis and research of the overall network structure, substructure within the network, the network centric degree of the blog recommendation network.Chapter 6, the analysis based on the blog comment network. This chapter mainly summarizes the analysis results and disadvantages of this paper,and the future research directions.
