With the continuous development of mobile communications,the requires of people for mobile communications,including the voice and the data,are increasing faster.The shortage of The Third Generation mobile communication gradually exposed.In order to establish a new generation of mobile communication evolution,3GPP start studies to develop the long-term evolution of 3G(LTE)protocol based on the OFDM and MIMO as key technologies.More systems features and enhancements continue to be evolution while technology continues to fresh,which form the research and development of LTE-Advanced.Among those proposed technologies,coordinated multi-point(CoMP)catch people's eyes as a multi-antenna technology using to lift the cell edge/average spectral efficiency.CoMP is still exploring.Uplink CoMP is easier compared to downlink CoMP that the key lies in the joint reception processing.In this paper,we focus on the key technologies of the physical layer of uplink CoMP.This article provides an overview of the key technologies of LTE system including OFDM,MIMO and CoMP,analysis the orthogonal issues of uplink CoMP reference signal,study and explore variety of channel estimation theory and performance of the algorithm.At last,we proposed the realization of uplink CoMP based on the MSC8157 DSP.In order to verify the feasibility of CoMP,we built a LTE uplink CoMP simulation system to simulate and analysis the performance of CoMP in this paper.The results prove that the CoMP does have a significant enhancement on the performance of the cell edge/average.At the same time we verify the actual performance of variety channel estimation algorithms to determine the future direction of research.In this paper,we realize the function of uplink CoMP on the base station side through the MSC8157 processor.After the relevant code analysis and optimization,we take a test to prove that uplink CoMP realization has a certain accuracy and stability which can achieve more comprehensive uplink CoMP function.
