As one of the earliest influential social media platforms in China, QZone was once widely used by student group. Although the subsequent emergence of ChinaRen,Renren,MicroBlog,WeChat and other new social media has brought a strong impact to QZone, it has been survived, and still loved by the student group. During the development of the past 12 years, Blog, ChinaRen, and even Renren have been dying, QZone has always been vigorous, what exactly are the factors that make QZone has not been eliminated and got no development or growth? This paper mainly adopts the research methods of depth interview and case analysis, and tries to analyze the living situation of Qzone and the reasons based on the dual perspectives of media product analysis and college student user research.The whole dissertation includes the following six parts. The introduction part mainly introduces the background and significance of the research, the research situation of the QQ space at home and abroad, the in-depth study of the new media, and the main research methods of this paper. Then the next part gives an overview of the historical evolution, the overall characteristics and the main module functions of Qzone to lay the foundation for the study of the reasons in later words.Relying on the relevant data presented,the third part analyzes the current situation of college students' usage of Qzone and the content of college students' QZone.In the fourth part, according to the results of the in-depth interviews with fifteen after-90 college students,the article analyzes the reasons why they use Qzone,which was devided into three aspects:social needs,self-expression of emotional needs and the use of habits. In the meanwhile, the fifth part explores the reasons for the use of QZone from the perspective of the form of media products.Through the respective comparison with Sina microblog and the friends circle of WeChat,the article indicats the reasons why QZone has not been replaced by other emerging social media and can not "stop" Other emerging media reasons for the rise. The last part is the conclusion.Taking Qzone as subject,the paper discusses on why Qzone can maintain its vitality from two aspects such as media product analysis and college student user research. In this case,people can think more comprehensively about the future development of QZone.
