Research Of Development Strategy For Science Fiction World Under The Perspective Of Media Ecological Niche

In China,science fiction literature has always existed in the edge of literature field.Since the English version of The three body problem won Hugo Award in 2015,Chinese science fiction gradually enters into main stream of literature and the vision of people all over the world.Nowadays,in China' s literature market,Science Fiction World is the only professional journal about science fiction,while other media platforms which can publish science fiction literature are quite few.Over the past forty years since the birth of Science Fiction World,it sticks to work at the forefront of Chinese science fiction,making a great contribution to its inheritance and development.Science fiction not only bears the future and prospect of a nation,but also acts as a drive-force for a country' s scientific innovation in a certain degree.On the basis of media ecological niche theory,this paper hopes to learn about the development situation and the characteristics of media niche,and proposes some suggestions for the development of ecological niche in the future,through researching the media ecological niche in Science Fiction World.Besides,as the saying goes,look at a leopard through a bamboo tube.This paper expects to,through Science Fiction World,provide enlightenment for development of science fiction literature and science fiction industry in China.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction,including the background and meaning of the development of science fiction industry,and literature review of media ecological niche theory and research of science fiction magazines.The second chapter is to expound media ecological niche theory and analyze the current situation of relevant media ecological niche,with the purpose of arousing the consideration on the potential of magazines under the challenges from new media.The third chapter is the detailed introduction of the development of Science Fiction World,making a comment of its current situation and dilemma,and finding its disparity with America' s science fiction magazines by comparing the current situation.The forth chapter is the comprehensive analysis of media ecological niche,and the current situation of Science Fiction World under the challenges from the new media.The fifth chapter proposes the development strategy of media ecological niche for Science Fiction World.
