Traveling Theory:the Importation And Of Changes Of Journalistic Professionalism Research In Chinese Mainland

Drawing upon the "traveling theory",this article tried to examine "journalistic professionalsm"as a theory developed in Chinese mainland.This paper conducted a comprehensive content analysis of papers were relevant of journalistic professiona-lism published in the Journalism&Communication,Journal of International Commu-nication,Modern Communication,Journalism Quarterly,Shang hai Journalism Re-view,the top 5 journals which present the level of journalism and communication research in Chinese mainland from 1994 to 2016.The study found that,in three dimensions:time,space,and the author,Chinese mainland journalistic professiona-lism study presented from dot appearances to simmer to significant growth.In space,there is a significant regional hierarchy and influence.As for the author,a number of core authors have emerged,and Fudan university has become a highly concentrated place for the core authors.From the research topics and research methods,all the papers showed that the journey of journalistic professionalism research,methods are highly uneven,most of papers were focused on theory discussion,most authors were just "passers-by".The technology,market logic and realistic media system became the obstacles and adjusting conditions encountered in the journey of the professional theories which are revealed in the text.In the journey of journalistic professionalism research,because of the vision of technology,close contact with reality,theory's further extension,etc,present some new dimensions and possibilities of journalistic professionalism research.
