| The development and spread of transgenic technology and transgenic food have beencontroversial at home and abroad. News media is the main channel for the public tounderstand and Feedback the information of transgenic technology and transgenic food. Whensome events about transgenic technology and transgenic food happened, the mass mediawould influence the public opinion, even the developments of the events, by reporting andnews commentary. Studying and analyzing GMO reports, has a practical significance inunderstanding the media presentation of transgenic technology and transgenic food, and alsoin telling weather the reports are objective and fair.There are a lot of research on investigating what the GMO reports’problems are and howto solve them in the field of communication and journalism studying, but those research aresome kind of summary of the universalistic, plain problems. There is not any systemic,complete specification which could be followed in the GMO reporting. JournalProfessionalism is the guide and answer of how to describe and structure this specification.This research takes the Journal Professionalism as a theoretical tool, to study andanalysis the GMO reports from three different newspapers in Guangzhou（2008—2013）——Guangzhou Daily, Yangcheng Evening News, Southern Metropolis Daily, to make a deepinvestigation and description of the GMO reports’ practicing on Journal Professionalism byusing the content analysis. |
