With the combination of related theoretical knowledge and professional skills of software engineering learned before, the author analyzes the system data and the process in detail, and designs the system database.The process is as followed: First, social background and specific requirements of purchase-sales-inventory for Shanghai Ze'ao Trading Co. Ltd. are introduced. Next, the development tools are determined, followed by the subsystem divisions of the service functions, with scientific and reasonable requirement analysis of the function achivement as well as the Non-Functional Requirement Analysis, hence to achieve the purpose of improving the reasonableness of the system. There are six modules in the system, involving the purchase management module, the sales management module, the inventory management module, the statistic analysis management module, the general financial module and the basic information manager modul. After designing and testing these six modules separately, functions of every block can be realized by way of screenshots of the system operation interface.Combining the future needs with the application of the current system in Shanghai Ze'ao Trading Co. Ltd, this system adopts the C/S mode with Java language to carry out the development of the purchase-sales-inventory management system in this company, with SQL Server2005 database in Windows platform. Thus, the business data for purchase, sales and inventory can be synchronized through the internet, also boosting the productivity effects and saving the administrative costs for the enterprise. Meanwhile, for the problems and difficulties encountered in the practical work, there will be an attempt to reregulate the purchase-sales-inventory management system.The development and improvement of the purchase-sales-inventory system for Shanghai Ze'ao Trading Co. Ltd. can not only help promote the daily work, but also mitigate to a certain extent such problems as the small productions, low sales, prone errors as well as the disconnection of different parts. The ultimate aim is to improve the enterprise productivity so that the benefits can be maximized.
