China has been a traditional agricultural country from many centuries ago.Nowadays our cultivated land accounts for less than 7% of the world’s arable land,however has to feed nearly 19% of the world’s population. How to promote agricul-tural development is the key issue to solve the grain problem in our country. In the 21st century, agricultural informatization and modernization are the trend of global agricultural development. And precision agriculture is an important symbol of agri-cultural modernization. It’s basics of precision agriculture development that timely and accurately to get the environment information in the field. In order to solve the problems such as low efficiency and inconvenient layout, and for getting information rapidly, this paper designs a wireless sensor network monitoring system based on en-ergy awareness.The wireless sensor network consists of a number of sensor nodes, which typi-cally have limited energy and are not easily replaced after the nodes are arranged. So the node energy is directly related to the service life of the whole network. How to save and supply energy are two important goals in the study of wireless sensor net-works. To solve the problem of energy supply, solar power was chosen when design-ing the wireless sensor network. Solar power is clean energy and can be easily ob-tained, but the power is unstable. In order to solve charging problem under bad weather condition, this paper studies the routing protocol based on energy awareness.The routing protocol of wireless sensor networks is reanalyzed from the perspective of remaining energy using method of energy awareness. The system based on wire-less sensor network mainly uses ZigBee technology to monitor the crop growth en-vironment. The task is that the end node sends data to the router node, then router node retransmits data to coordinator node. Finally, the data is sent to the remote server and can be showed on the page which users can see at any time. After hard-ware testing and field testing, the monitoring system meets the measurement re-quirements and can provide data support for the development of precision agricul-ture.
