The Design And Implementation Of Fault Recovery Module In Network Virtualization Management Platform

With the rapid development of Internet technology, the Internet has become an important infrastructure for people's lives and work. In order to solve the current rigid network architecture, network virtualization technology has been widely concerned by the academic community. In order to better manage and run the network virtualization environment,you need a network virtualization management platform. Network virtualization management platform integrates a number of network virtualization environment management and scheduling capabilities to facilitate network operators and users to manage and use network virtualization environment. In order to ensure the stability of application and service operation in network virtualized environment, we need to design and implement a fault recovery module in the network virtualization management platform.The main work of this thesis is to design and implement the fault recovery module of the network virtualization management platform. The fault recovery module is one of the core function modules in the network virtualization management platform, which mainly solves the virtual network fault recovery after the fault of the underlying physical link. This thesis first studies two kinds of fault recovery strategies, namely active fault recovery strategy and passive fault recovery strategy, active fault recovery strategy for each virtual link to calculate a backup path, if a link failure, we can simply migrate the link to the backup path. If the link does not have an appropriate backup path, the passive fault recovery policy is invoked. In addition, the network resource model is constructed by analyzing the resource types and attributes in the network virtualized environment, and the model supports the execution of the recovery strategy. According to the fault recovery process, the fault recovery module is divided into six functional points, which are virtual request customization, basic scheduling, link backup, fault monitoring, fault alarming and fault recovery. Based on the fault recovery strategy and resource model, according to the software engineering method, the function points of the fault recovery module are sequentially analyzed,the outline design, the detailed design and the function realization. Finally,the function of the fault recovery module is tested.
