With the diversity of network applications and the network heterogeneous increasing,carrier networks become more complex.How to make better use of the network resources and build efficient end-to-end links become not only a major problem that carriers and service providers faced with but also a hot issue of convergence network.Convergence Network,combined with the new concepts of SDN and NFV,can be a good solution to solve the problem of network management and scalability and other issues.This idea can also improve the efficiency of deploying network applications greatly.However,with the increase in the size of heterogeneous networks and heterogeneous equipment,single SDN controller can hardly control large-scale network and achieve the adaptation of all network devices.Then how to control multi-domain,multi-vendor networking equipment has become a new problem.To solve the mentioned problems,this paper proposed a SDN convergence network architecture based on coordinated controller,and achieved the following aspects and innovation:First,raise the concept of coordinated control.As for the limited suitability and performance bottlenecks of single controller,this paper proposed the idea of coordinated control.Idea of coordinated control divides the traditional SDN controller layer into two layers:coordinated controller and single domain controller.Function of single domain Controller is to manage the intra-domain resources and equipment and serve for the coordinated controller via a unified north bound interface.The duty of coordinated controller is maintaining a global view of the whole network and serve for application layer.Second,this paper proposed a SDN convergence network architecture based on coordinated controller.The key of this architecture is a vertical control system and the coordinated controller plays the role of solving heterogeneous networking problem.The concept of NFV increases the scalability of the network and simplifies the application deployment.Third,this paper conducted a test of multi-domain,multi-vendor software defined optical networks.To match the complexity of carriers' network,we used the optical network equipment from different vendors to simulate real network.The topology and service tests verified the feasibility of the SDN convergence network based on the idea of coordinated controller,and laid the theoretical basis for the commercialization of SDN.
