With the 3GPP convergence trend in the mobile communications and broadband wireless access technology,LTE called "quasi-4G" technology is developed.4G system want to meet need in coverage,cost and high-resolution and high-speed data multimedia services which 3G cannot achieve,and can provide greater bandwidth requirements.With the popularity of 4G networks,it is particularly important to make base station work well for good user experience.LTE signal source is the main tool to measure RF parameters of base stations,and therefore has become a major equipment which manufacturers focus on.For the realization of LTE signal source,achieving MAC layer and the physical layer is the key to proper and efficient operation of the system.Therefore,according to the relevant agreements R9 document,this thesis researched on functions and processes.on the MAC layer and PHY layer.Based on the characteristics of the project needs to achieve.LTE signal source system which has been realized owning message broadcasting,paging,and user paging systems function,has strong application and reference value.This thesis studies the architecture of LTE air interface protocol,focusing on the protocol stack,MAC and PHY layers.In particular,make in-depth analysis on the MAC layer receive system messages and paging messages,channel mapping,periodic scheduling mechanism and transmission format.At the same time,make in-depth research on physical signal,physical channel,resource mapping and framing process.Then according to the protocol stack modular,hierarchical characteristics of the system design the system,including interface function design,function flow chart design,function design basis.Meanwhile this thesis propose circulation BUFFER and Peterson algorithm for interface betwwen MAC and PHY,ensuring efficient and orderly transmission of data.Finally,using VS2012 code MAC layer and PHY layer,and comparing the test results consistent with post-processing data verify the MAC layer functions correctly.For each channel testing of the PHY layer,then making physical downlink channel simulation by using MATLAB LTE System Toolbox,and test that results of the same test parameters were compared right,verify the correctness of PHY layer code.
