As the scale and complexity of the network increasing, network technical personnel need to be able to quickly develop new network function to deal with constantly updated network demand, thus the improvement of the scalability of network has become an important direction in the development of network technology. Due to that the control plane is the important part of the network architecture and the network control logic key hierarchy, improving the scalability of the control plane is an important part of the whole plan. On the other hand the traffic in the network has an explosive growth, in order to improve the quality of the service efficiency of the network, to achieve the distinct traffic control,Multi Topology Routing Protocol is an important solution in the context of this requirement.And this paper will improve the network scalability of the control as a starting point, chosen by universal improved routing protocol to enhance the scalability of the idea of the control network system, and describes the characteristics and advantages of this idea.The specific implementation plan and technical route of improving the routing protocol scalability in this paper is the general transformation of the routing protocol, which is to improve the hierarchical structure of the original routing protocol, pull out the functions of routing protocol as much as possible and create a common layer with a unified interface. This plan can greatly simplify the development of new features, reduce duplication of work and improve the efficiency; at the same time using the standard modeling language to rebuild the structure of the data in the protocol and the using general database storage to improve the readability of the data and break the barriers of different types of data to improve routing protocol scalability on data level.As for concrete work, based on the general layer which has been implemented, according to the overall design of the general architecture,the design and implementation of multi-topology routing protocol based on the generic architecture is completed. The modules such as interactions with other component, neighbor discovery and link state acquisition are rebuilt, At the same time the link state and message format are redefined with the the universal modeling language and memory storage structure is replaced by he general database. Through the above work, the transformed multi-topology routing protocol can be docked to the general layer while maintaining the integrity of the routing protocol function. Finally, the protocol is tested on the experimental platform, and the feasibility and effectiveness of the protocol design are verified.
