Design And Implementation Of An Information Dissemination System Oriented To IoT

With the development of research on the Internet of Things(IoT)technology,the IoT applications will be gradually applied to various fields,with large amount of data from sensors connected to the IoT network.How to distribute the information effectively to the information consumer,satisfying the demands of the IoT applications well,is an important task faced by the development of IoT.The IoT network is different from the traditional networks in many aspects,such as the variety of the IoT applications,wide range of business areas and the spate of new IoT applications.The powerful ability of network programming introduced by Software-Defined Network(SDN)can help us rapidly develop and deploy new IoT applications.In addition,the IoT applications concern the content itself instead of the location of the content,which accords well with the ICN concept.In this thesis,we design an information dissemination system for the IoT applications,using both ICN and SDN features.In the system,we redesign the ICN method by mapping the name-based information to virtual IP and applied it in the IP based SDN network.Specifically,the design of naming,storage and forwarding of the IoT information is described in detail.By using the system,the efficiency of developing and deploying IoT applications can be improved effectively,and the need of the IoT applications on information can be well satisfied.In the thesis,first,the basic principle of the ICN,SDN and the commonly used methods of information dissemination are introduced.Then,we introduce the system in terms of the architecture design,general design,and the process of the system operation.Finally,we described the implementation of the prototype system and the measurement of packet lose rate and delay.The test results show the feasibility of the designed system.
