Wireless Mesh networks(WMN)is a new type network of Wireless communication,which is decentralized and characterized by high broadband,low cost,wide coverage,dynamic self-organization,self-configure,and self-healing properties.So it can provide greater coverage,higher throughput and better failover performance for network users.However,the routing protocol for WMN' features is still relatively rare.Therefore,a lot of Ad-hoc' protocols are used in the WMN,which affect the network communication performance in some extent.Based on this,the dissertation focuses on the routing mode of HWMP(Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol,HWMP),which is specific to WMN,in order to reduce the overhead and improve the quality of network communication.The purpose of the double routing models coexistence in the Wireless Mesh Network is to allow nodes to choose routing model by their own characteristics.The coexistence of double routing protocols depend on the configuration,when the related parameters are configured,the routing models can be selected by nodes.On the basis of coexistence,an effective collaboration algorithm of the two modes is proposed in the dissertation.The algorithm is to solve the problem of inefficient communication between communications with the destination in the mesh network and communication with the destination in the external network.It can reduce the transmission delay,improve the network throughput and service performance,eventually choose the optimal path to forward data.A Node Flag(NF)field will be added in the data frame when the tree for proactive routing has been already created in The cooperation mechanism of HWMP.If a source node need send data packets to destination node,the protocol will send the first data frame to the root node.Then the value of NF field will be set in the root node t according to result if there is a path to the destination node in the routing table.The destination node will decide whether to trigger the on-demand routing discovery process according to the value of NF when it receives the data frame.We constructed the mesh topology and set the scene parameters on the simulation software NS3.The experimental results showed that the algorithm overcomes the faults of each routing mode and has the lower initial latency and higher data transmission throughput compared with on-demand and proactive routing modes.
