With the rapid development of digital communication technology, some words, like’ubiquitous network’and so on, have appeared around us and soon became a hot issue in the past few years. The digital information service is so popular that it put forward new challenges to the performance of terminals while the types and numbers of smart terminals are in a big growth. The thought to make cooperation between terminals came out to make a breakthrough of the capability of a single terminal. Terminals can make full use of surrounding, cyber source, ensure better user experience or provide a larger scale of smart services with a stronger sensing capability through multiterminal cooperation. The paper made research on multiterminal cooperation under wireless mesh network(wireless mesh network, WMN) considering network environment, designation of multiterminal cooperation and characteristic of the services. We mainly focus on the effect of routing layer and transport layer on the performance of cooperative transmission. The paper firstly studies application scenarios and architecture of multiterminal cooperation under WMN and makes research on routing mechanism based on it. Then I choose Hybrid Wireless Mesh Protocol which is described in IEEE802.11s standard and Ad-hoc On-Demand Multipath Distance Vector protocol to make a comparison. Their performance under different scenes is analyzed and simulated in the end of the corresponding chapter to provide a reference to the study of multiterminal cooperation. As to the cooperative transmission part, lots of studies show that when we have some data transmitted using the existing transport layer protocols under wireless networks, the performance may fall to a relatively bad status because of the random packet loss caused by wireless link which is inevitable. This paper discusses about some of the congestion control algorithms and proposes an improved MPTCP congestion control algorithm based on MPTCP-LIA which can improve performance in wireless networks by discovering the reason of a packet loss. The correctness and validity of the improved algorithm is verified by simulation in the end of the right chapter. At last, work in the paper is summarized and some deficiencies are proposed to put forward some possible future works.
