| With the rapid development of information technology,the importance of the library has been gradually appeared as a treasure trove of information.The library advisory services is becoming the focus of attention.Previous reference service cannot satisfy the needs of users any more.Some scholars created the concept of the knowledge counsulting.Knowledge counsulting as a new form of library service,is more advanced than the reference service.It Is on the basis of functions and features of existing reference,based on the user’s questions,using of knowledge management,searching,integration and analysis of relevant information,easy to understand,easy to use the services of the answers to users.Throughout the domestic and foreign studies of knowledge counsulting,the majority of the research is concentrated in the theory,technology and mode.There is almost no study about the librirain of knowledge counsulting.As an important part of library consulting service,librarian is the core power to promote the development of library consulting services.In this paper,the writer systematically combed the basic characteristics of knowledge consulting,researched the elements of the knowledge consulting,built a librarian ability system of knowledge consulting,researched different levels and types of schools to put forward improvement suggestion for universities.The paper first sorted out the related research status in the domestic and at abroad,including the description of the conceptual,technical application and practice,and then explained the definition and characteristics of the knowledge consulting,discussed related theory and research results about the librarians’ ability from the perspective of human resources.Second,built a librarian ability system of knowledge consulting on the basis of literature review and theory and modified the system by Delphi method.Third,Selected 113 engaged in consultation service of the librarians from“985”,“211”and ordinary universities to participate in the survey.The purpose of this investigation was to examine their current capacity of knowledge consulting and provide a better suggestion for the future consulting librarians.The result showed that the consulting librarians in university have not reached the ability of knowledge consulting,particularly in part of the professional quality,interpersonal relationship building and communication and leadership management.Finally,on the basis of theory and the empirical research,the writer putted forward the countermeasures:1.Establishing talent selection system,improving the library access mechanism to ensure the qualities of librarians.2.Solving the problem of librarians’individual ability,special training3.Consulting services establish effective evaluation mechanism,promoting the librarians’ ability to ascend.4.Providing a unified code of conduct for librarians.5.Establishinganincentive mechahism. |
