Nowadays, cellphone has become to be a public symbol of the development of the information society, which has deeply affected the style modern people live. And it turns into necessities in people’s daily life. However, to realize so many powerful and convenient functions is a huge program,which is not only supported by varies of functional system of cellphone, but also is supported by the antenna components which satisfies the basic requirement with frequency coverage. During cellphone changing from wireless telecommunications to a kind of electronic consumable,designs of antenna components need to consider about miniaturization,low profile,low price and low radiation. And it is a new challenge to the design of antenna components.First of all,this thesis studies about performance standard,and then it analyzes and compares between PIFA antenna and Monopole antenna which are widely used. The result is that Monopole antenna will be more advantages in the application of smart antenna in the future time. Then it makes a summary about the way to realize miniaturization, multi-band and broadband of Monopole antennas, and finally designs out two kinds of Monopole antennas.The first antenna used coupling feed, double side radiation and meandering and other technology,which control the size of 14.5×46mm2. The working frequency range is 817-1100MHz for Low frequency and 1690-2820MHz for high frequency, which can completely cover GSM850/900、PCS1900、IMT-2000、UMTS2100、LTE2300/2500.The second antenna used closed coupling feed, whose size is 15×55mm2. The working frequency range is 868-1046MHz for Low frequency and 1673-2921 MHz for high frequency,which can completely cover GSM900、PCS1900、IMT-2000、UMTS2100、LTE2300/2500.Two antennas both have the characteristics of wide band, small size and low profile, and the antenna structure is simple which is easy to implement.
