The ionosphere is the most critical part of the earth's atmosphere environment.Monitoring the ionosphere is of great significance to the activity including mobile communication,manned space flight and satellite navigation.Incoherent scatter radar is the most powerful ground-based equipment to monitoring the ionosphere.This kind of radar has many advantages,such as strong detection capability,multi parameter,high resolution and long distance coverage.The research on incoherent scatter radar and related technology is of great value to monitoring ionosphere.In this paper,based on the theory of incoherent scatter radar detection,an incoherent scatter radar simulation system model considered into the influence of radar system parameter,detection interference and signal processing method on radar detection was presented.A reliable and high precision radar simulation system has been set up.In addition,we research on the technique of using Faraday rotation effect to inversion ionospheric parameter.Building up the parameter inversion model,what's more,the processing of Jicamarca radar observation data has been done.The main work as following:Firstly,we review physical model of ionospheric incoherent scattering,and the requirement analysis of radar system simulation has been carried out.According to the actual working environment of incoherent scatter radar,the model of incoherent scatter radar simulation system has been constructed.Using modular design ideal,the main function of incoherent scatter radar is divided into multiple modules.Then each module is combined into a complete simulation system.The reliability of the simulation system is evaluated by compare with radar measuring data.Secondly,Research on the technique of ionospheric parameters inversion using the Faraday rotation effect.Based on the theory of magneto-ionic propagation and soft-target radar equations,a new inversion data model has been developed.What's more,the measuring data of the Jicamarca radar has been processed used this technique,and the value of the inversion technique is proved by the analysis and comparison of the results.
