Nano-fibrillated cellulose(NFC)has excellent length-width ratio,high strength,low density,biodegradable and renewable properties.The development of NFC can broaden the use of bleached pulp in paper industry.The substrate is the first layer in an OLED device,and it is a very important part of building a flexible electronic device.In this study,the bleached softwood pulp was employed to prepare the NFC by mechanical process,and the NFC was acetylated.Then the NFC/ABPE nanocomposites were prepared with acetylated NFC and acrylic resin ABPE,and the feasibility of preparing high performance OLED substrate was studied with the NFC/ABPE nanocomposites.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Chemical purification makes the cellulose content of bleached softwood pulp increased to 96.90%.Compared with the alone mechanical grinding process,the high-pressure homogenization treatment after mechanical grinding has little effect on the crystallinity of NFC,and the thermal stability of NFC is also higher than that of bleached pulp.At the same time,the nano-fibrillated cellulose obtained by homogenization treatment has superior performance,such as smaller diameter,excellent length-widthratio and the yield higher.(2)The effects of different NFC:AC ratios on the substitution of hydroxyl in NFC cellulose were different.When the ratio of NFC:AC was more than 1:6,the hydroxyl groups on C3,C2 and C6 of glucose units are replaced by acetyl,and the acetylated NFC can not form film.The effects of modification on the thermal degradation process,Tmax,weight loss and clarityare of NFC are not significant,but the effects of modification on CTE,mechanical properties,and flexibility of NFC film are very large.When the NFC:AC ratio is 1:3,the acetylation can better keep the mechanical properties,flexibility,and crystallinity of NFC,and decrease its thermal stability.(3)The surface roughness of NFC/ABPE composite film prepared by NFC and ABPE was improved,NFC was good compatible with ABPE,and the transparency of the composite film was good.The effects of different NFC dosages on the thermal expansion,flexibility,and mechanical properties of the composite film are the biggest,and the CTE of the composite film is in accordance with the standard of OLED substrate.When the NFC dosage is 0.3 g or 0.4 g,the mechanical properties and the flexibility of the composite film are the best.Compared with other substrates,the composite film has good potential to prepare a high performance OLED substrate.
