The mobile communication technology develops rapidly in recent years,which evolves from the second(2G),the third(3G)and the fourth generation of mobile communication(4G)to the fifth generation mobile communication(5G).With the rapid growth of mobile communication users,a variety of mobile services have emerged.A broad range of growth in the number of users and the t ypes of business challenges the spectrum resources of China's mobile communication system continuously.Moverover,The state plans to commercialize the fifth-generation mobile communications(5G)by 2020.Therefore,the research of the 5G spectrum becomes more imminently.The spectrum allocationof IMT systeems and international status of mobile communication system are summarized in this paper.The forecasting methods of spectrum demand for some IMT systems existing in the international and domestic are summarized and analyzed.And the advantages and disadvantages of these method s are concluded.From the point of operability and the actual situation of China's mobile communication system,the method of spectrum requirements based on KPI in different scenarios is used to calculate the spectrum requirements of 5G typical scene,the result shows that the spectrum requirements of 5G system need more spectrum,according to the characteristics of the deployment of small base station and hot spot,2030 spectrum demand below 6GHz 5G system is 2720 M,the spectrum demand 24.25-86 GHz spectrum range is about 24.3GHz.And the prediction method of intensive urban demands spectrum based on Gompertz curve is proposed.From the results of the prediction,the spectrum of the future commercial 5G system will be affected by many factors,and the change of each factor will cause the dynamic change of the spectrum demand of the 5G system.In this paper,two different methods are used to calculate the spectrum requirements of 5G typical scenarios from different angles,which can be used to reflect the spectrum requirements of 5G typical scenarios in China in 2030.
