Radar is a technology that using electromagnetic wave to detect target information.Among radar system,close-range detected radar become a very advanced detect equipment due to its ability to high-precision positioning and real-time velocity detection.Close-range detected radar is sensitive and small,so this radar develop very fast.It usually works on microwave band,because in microwave band the wavelength is short and the radar system has higher precision.Close-range detected radar has great application prospect,therefore,it's very meaningful to design a high performance and high integration close-range detected radar system.In this background,this paper at first analyzes the basic structure of radar system,radar waveform,the principle of detection,and using this basis theory design the waveform parameters.Then,this paper introduces a new radar system structure by studying software defined radio technology.The composition of this radar system is RF Front-end module,A/D module,decimation filtering module,digital signal processor and arbitrary waveform generator.The system uses three programmable chip:digital down-converter,digital signal processor and Field—Programmable Gate Array,so it can process data flexible.This paper also study the core technology and function support of digital signal processor,include Multichannel Buffered Serial Port,External Memory Interface,Direct Memory Access,Ethernet Media Access Control.By using this technology,the radar software system become modularity and very efficient.Moreover,this paper at last designs server and client to communicate with computer,and designs program to control waveform generator.As a result,the radar can converses working frequency.At the end of the paper,this close-range detected radar system has been tested.The test results show that this radar system achieve the function that detect close-range target,and has the characteristics such as high precision,long effective distance,stable performance,etc.The digital receiver is very sensitive,at the same time it has large dynamic range and large attenuation in out-band.The waveform generator has great Spurious-Free Dynamic Range,and the network communicate fast.In conclusion,this close-range detected radar is feasible because of meeting the needs of reality.
