Study On The Terrorist Propaganda And Coping Strategies Under The Background Of Internet

The purpose of terrorism is not only to do harm to some of the direct victims through the acts of terrorism,but also through their actions to a wider audience of deterrence or publicity.Therefore,there is a close relationship between terrorism and propaganda.With the development of media,the propaganda strategy of terrorism has changed greatly.Only by fully understanding the new changes in the means of terrorism canwe effectively prevent and reduce the effectiveness of terrorism.This is exactly the purpose of this paper.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is an analysis of the concepts related to terrorism and leads to the newsituation of the propaganda of terrorism in the Internet age.With regard to the definition of terrorism,there are many ways,but no matter how different political systems,religious beliefs,cultural differences,the definition of terrorism contains the means of violence through civilians.Terrorism propaganda as a means,but also a new form of terrorism,mainly through the mass communication of the way,for its terrorist acts to advocate and so on,and through the dissemination of relevant terrorist information,pictures,audio and video,to the public Spiritual panic.The second part discusses the interaction and use of terrorism and the news media.Terrorist organizations have a certain political,economic or religious purpose in the conduct of any action.How to make their purpose easier to achieve,how to make their "cause" for the world to know,how to expand their influence to the world,these problems,with the media reports are solved one by one.The media as a thugs of terrorist events,like an advertising agency with a loudspeaker,free to bear the responsibility of terrorist organizations propaganda agencies,the terrorist organization of thought spread throughout the world.The third part discusses the turn of terrorism propaganda.Because terrorist organizations are aware of the immense role of propaganda and because of the control of traditional mass media by governments around the world,terrorist organizations recognize the importance of the right to speak,So they from the passive "for the mass media to provide material to cover,with the mass media to promote themselves",to take the initiative to master their own control of the mass media,targeted to proactively promote themselves.However,the traditional mass media in the need forhuge material costs at the same time,but also a professional editorial staff,stable launch frequency and other hardware requirements,which is difficult for the operation of terrorist organizations,inefficient,can not meet their promotional needs.While the Internet and the hot world of social networks,changed the status quo.The fourth part is the focus of this article,mainly to "Islamic State" as an example,to analyze its terrorist propaganda,and cyber terrorism online mode of operation.Specifically there are seven main ways: the official magazine,the declaration radio,news agency,social media,mobile app app,homemade video and singing songs as well as media center and press spokesman.These seven forms are the core of the "Islamic State" propaganda.Finally,it discusses the virtual communities based on the Internet and social media,and the "Cloud Islamic states" that may emerge.The fifth part is a summary of countermeasures.In view of the above common tactics of terrorism,this paper attempts to give a concrete countermeasure,from the large data analysis and global cooperation,media self-discipline and control,antipropaganda,media literacy education,and long-term tasks such as recommendations.Through the above research,we hope to provide a reference for more in-depth understanding of terrorist propaganda,so that human society away from terrorism.
