Investigation And Analysis On The Management Information System Of University Libraries In Anhui Province

In school running of colleges and universities,library is an important constituent part,and its duty is propagating cultural information and providing service to teaching and scientific research of colleges and universities.In addition,it can also provide a great number of information resource to users and it is equipped with function of sort management,circulation,retrieving,cataloging and reservation of various book resources.Nowadays,the informatization technology is developing rapidly,and management of library is also continuously getting complicated and integrated.Using computer and network technology to conduct library work arid using library management information system can greatly increase management efficiency.For libraries of colleges and universities with large number of borrowing and circulation,this construction is especially important.In order to better play the function of libraries of colleges and universities,it is necessary to conduct research analysis about library management information system of colleges and universities and find existing problems and put forward solutions and strategies.Library management information system of colleges and universities combines modern data processing equipment and digital model analytical method structure,which provides optimized decision information to management of library and finally realizes man-machine coordination.For different colleges and universities,library management information system that selected and used decides the management efficiency of library.This paper conducts corresponding investigation and analysis on management information system of three libraries of colleges and universities in Anhui Province,which respectively are library of University of Science and Technology of China,library of Anhui University and library of Anhui Jianzhu University,and tries to know structure,function and working mode of management information system of libraries of these three universities,and analyzes problems during usage of this management system and solutions.First of all,the introduction part of this paper starts with the concept of library management information system of colleges and universities,comprehensively know function module,business scope and its features of library management information system,and its construction core idea is people first,fully uses modern computer technology,network technology to conduct book management,and states the background and significance of this research project.Second,it introduces current status of development of library management information system,conducts detailed analysis,summarizes that the development of its system structure experiences four stages,and conduct statistical analysis on popular library management information system in China and foreign countries.Third,it conducts investigation and analysis on management information system of libraries of three universities in Anhui Province.As the writer has once practiced in library of Anhui University and Anhui Jianzhu University,so contacted management information system of libraries of these two universities with certain understandings.By filed interview and research,the writer summarizes the construction situation of library management information system of three universities.After further analysis,the writer finds some existing short-comings,summarizes the existing problems,and puts forward some suggestion and countermeasures for solving these problems.Finally,by combings point of view of curators of three libraries and teachers,the development trend of library management system of colleges and universities is looked forward.
