Since the birth of the first helix traveling wave tube in 1943,after 70 years of development,it still has an irreplaceable position in the field of national defense,communications and other fields.With the continuous development of the theory and the improvement of the level of industrial production,various new types of tubes are emerging,correspondingly,the requirements for the test of the TWT are also increasing.Because of the using of the microwave measuring instrument and the amplification and acquisition of the high frequency microwave signals,the measurement of specifications of traveling wave tube has become an urgent problem in the field.At present,the automatic test system has been put into use in the factory acceptance test.Although with the automatic test platform,some TWT parameters can be measured quickly by direct sampling.Without efficient and reliable test control and test data analysis algorithm,Some TWT basic specifications' test process and test data analysis still rely on manual work with low test efficiency,and measurement standards cannot be unified.First,this thesis included the research of the automatic test control and data processing for the TWT's basic specifications.It mainly focus on the automatic test of the specifications such as saturation point,gain compression and gain linearity.Finally,test process control and parameter extraction algorithm are encapsulated in dynamic linked library,which an ATS for TWT based on LabVIEW or other platform can call.Research work mainly includes the following aspects:1.Introducing traveling wave tube and the automatic test system.2.Studying the method of measuring the basic specifications of TWT.3.Giving the design of the automatic test system in hardware and software.4.Based on the ATS for the TWT,the modeling and implement of the test flow control and the test data analysis algorithm are discussed.5.On the automated test system,the test control and data analysis algorithm is used to test the sample tube,and the test results are compared and analyzed.
