Traveling wave tube is a kind of very important electric vacuum device in the field of modern military and some civil fields.At present,the research process of TWT is mainly using the electromagnetic simulation software to design and get the electrical parameters,and then design the TWT structure models based on the obtained electrical parameters,and then manufacturing,testing and analysis.The design of TWT structure is similar to the traditional mechanical design,it is often necessary to modify the structural dimensions of the parts in order to meet the requirements of the performance,error,volume and so on.Moreover,the change of some key dimensions may even lead to the change of the whole structure of the TWT,so that the designers have to reconstruct the structure models and generate the engineering drawing,undoubtedly,which is low efficiency.This paper have a modest research on the automatic generation of the traveling wave tube structure based on the comprehensive analysis of the design and manufacture of the structure of the traveling wave tube,and then put forward a method to rapid establish and assembly TWT structure,which namely program 3D modeling for TWT structure.The main architecture of the method is as follows: first,this paper have modified an open-code pascal compiler,the compiler's input is the pascal 3D modeling program(upper modeling instruction),and the output is another set of instructions named lowlevel modeling instructions.3D modeling program composed of low-level modeling instructions is parsed by the low-level compiler and generate the models(include simple and complex models)in the process of parsing;finally,in order to improve the degree of automation,the architecture also includes a SDK which include the upper complier and a database used for save and read the modeling program.In the actual application,the upper and low-level modeling instructions and the SDK does have to achieve a certain degree of TWT structure's auto generating.This method can complete smooth establishment,assembly,2D drawing generation of TWT structures,provides a reference for the later study,contribute to the development of digital manufacturing of TWT.In this method,the low-level modeling instruction interpreter is based on the second development of 3D Modeling Visualization Platform which provide much API(This paper is mainly use the UG second development platform).The upper modeling instructions compiler is obtained through the open source pascal compiler modifications.The project management environment(SDK)is developed through the use of.NET platform and the SQL server 2008 database.
