Today's Network applications are mainly developed using UDP and TCP protocols.The traditional TCP/IP network cannot full fill the demand for the network quality of service in some situations.It is necessary to develop the new method that can full fil the network resources and improve the performance and quality of service concern to users in different network environment.Another protocol,i.e.the Stream Control Transmission Protocol(SCTP)provides us the new ways to improve network performance.SCTP inherits all the features of TCP and UDP and provide some additional features that can overcome the limitations of TCP and UDP.One of the main feature in SCTP is Multi-homing feature,which allows the associated port to bind multiple network addresses,and this binding allows data to be sent from the sender to the receiver side through different paths.By using this Multi-homing feature of the SCTP protocol,SCTP Multipath transmission network can improve the robustness of the network by the path failure switching mechanism.SCTP has many new features as compared to TCP,SCTP can carry the end-to-end network transmission.Due to this reason this research is getting boom in the industry and a lot of researchers are working on this topic.IP network itself is a single-path network,which provides limited effects of multi-path communication,the performance improvement of SCTP depending on IP network is limited.Vector Network(VN)is a new data communications network with fractal architecture,and it is based on Vector Address,which corresponds to the third layer of OSI model i.e.Network Layer.Vector network address obtains a new switch in a new addressing method called Vector Address.Vector Network proposed the concept of"Vector Connection" and "Vector Switch",and is based on Vector Address to design the network through the social properties of the network.Vector Network has the characteristics of fractal structure,and exchange addresses and identification address separation.In principle,compared with the ATM network and IP network,Vector Network has good security,guaranteed QoS,address infinitely scalable,simple switching equipment,network operability and other advantages.In this paper,SCTP protocol structure,characteristics were analyzed,and the limit of the performance of SCTP protocol based on IP network is described.On this basis,combining the Vector Network's advantages of infinite number of values,safety,light connection,we put forward the idea of SCTP supported by VN network,and designed SCTP/VN Multipath transmission network,and analyzed the advantages of SCTP Multipath based on Vector Network environment in resisting sing point failure.In this paper,we set up the network simulation environment for the function of SCTP multipath transmission.We established five communication paths.We name them from Path1 to Path5.In the first step,we broadcast the information to a remote computer by adjusting up the RTT(Round Time Trip)of 40 milliseconds.When the packet is not received by a remote computer within the specified time,the fault will be detected by the receiving end,this fault information will be returned to the sending end,and then the sending end will confirm the fault and discards that fault path and switch to other paths.We conducted the experiments with the help of C++ language and the Visual Studio environment.The simulation experiments show that the proposed approach can reduce the errors due to the communication path and the fault zone.This approach can also help in reducing the communication delays and can be improved at certain level.This method also improved the transmission power of the communication network.
