The late nineteen century and early twenty century witnessed the development of second industrial revolution,meanwhile,the American newspaper industry also encountered with its great-leap-forward development.It was during this period the American industry became popularized.Unfortunately,when the American newspaper was ready to take part in the public life with a man-of-the-people style,a comic struggle named “Yellow kid” remarked the beginning of yellow journalism war.The curiosity that lied in people's gene found a way out,newspaper became a experimental file for readers that only could you not imagine that,you can read everything you wanted.With the escalation of time-consuming yellow journalism war between <New York World> published by Joseph Pulizter and <New York Journal>published by William Randolph Hearst,this war that only limited in culture media originally began to involve in the social life of American public,even accelerating the outbreak of Spanish-American War.This thesis consists of five parts,which not only reveals the time necessity of the development of American Yellow journalism from perspective of history background,but also discusses the important relationship between it and American social public life and culture filed.Finally,on basis of the summary of decaying reason of yellow journalism and its influence,it provides benefited reference and enlightenment for the public in news press and media that facing similar troubles.
