Fuel cells,with high energy density,low operation temperature,environment pollution-free,fast start and convenient maintenance,have great potential in transportation and distributed generation application,which can effectively solve the problem of energy crisis and environmental pollution.However,fuel cells involve complex chemical reaction and the internal reaction mechanism is also complex.In order to study the output characteristic of fuel cells,shorten the development cycle of them and improve their control accuracy and life expectancy as well as to reduce the development costs,the improvement of fuel cell test system has important scientific value and engineering significance.Therefore,this paper aims to design and develop a special fuel cell test system and several work has been completed as follows.Firstly,the principle of PEM fuel cell is introduced briefly,and its working process is clarified;Meanwhile,an analysis of the "reversible" open circuit voltage and its influence factors has been conducted and a conclusion can be derived that temperature,pressure and humidity affect the fuel cell's output performance;After introducing the fuel cell power reactor,the working conditions of the fuel cell power reactor are settled and the functional requirements of the fuel cell test system are clarified.Secondly,according to the functional requirements of fuel cell test system,the hardware component is determined.The test system is divided into blocks according to hydrogen,air,cooling water,electrical and control circuits.In determining the testing system modules,each hardware module has been finely designed;Then the executive units of each modules have been selected according to the measured fuel cell electric reactor power level and its monitoring and control signals are sorted out;At the same time,the test system data acquisition and control system is designed,where appropriate controller,data acquisition card and sensor have been selected and IO allocation is carried out on the system.Then,according to the hardware module of the test system,the software requirements of the test system are presented accordingly and the software Lab VIEW is used to design the controlling software of each module.After determining the input and output of each control module,flow charts of each control module are designed and the design of a program chart is accomplished based on it.At the same time,a good human-computer interaction interface is designed to facilitate the implementation of parameter settings,the examination of the system's working process and the observation of data.Finally,in order to complete software function verification,the test system software designed in this paper is tested on the hardware platform.After introduced its electric testing system and component composition,the test system boot and shutdown process is determined.With one dimensional single section partition battery as test object,it completes a test on the fuel cells property under different temperature and pressures.The test results show that the designed test system software can complete the fuel cell output characteristic test under different working conditions,which has a good practicability and reliability.
