| This thesis aims to do empirical research on how the public emotions present in Zhihu from three aspects of view:the subscriber,the text and the release time by combining the methods of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis.This study selects the "Wei Zexi" event as the specific case and uses the classification of emotions in psychology and measuring methods of emotional intensity in computer science.The followings are what have been discovered in the research:from the aspect of the subscriber,the active users’ emotions were more positive than the common users’because the active users had more advantages in information analysis abilities and information analysis motivation.Anonymous users were more likely to show negative emotions than non-anonymous users.The emotions of doctors,the patients in Putian and the Internet workers were highly different from others.From the aspect of subject,the users of Zhihu were mostly anger and sad in the criticism of "moral" and "media environment"."Acceptance" and "expectation" were mostly reflected in the public’s understanding of the current situation of "media environment" and "medical&health",as well as the hope was reflected in the "government and law".From the aspect of the text,the users were more likely to have strong negative emotions in the comment text than in the answer text.From the aspect of release time,the users’ emotions were not continuously because they often focused on the outbreaks in several critical times.In this "Wei Zexi" event,the negative emotions of "anger","disgust" and "sadness" led the public emotions towards the disordered direction,as "acceptance","expectation" and other positive emotions guided the public emotions to ordered direction.The appearance of users’emotions were gradually developed from "one lead" to equilibrium state.The embodiment of the users’ emotional intensity was inconsistent with the degree of public attention,which also proved that the emotional intensity and the event development had promoting effects on each other.Based on the empirical research,the study summarized the main characteristics of the public emotion in Zhihu,such as diversification,polarization,privatization and concealmention,and the emotions were confrontational to "authority".Finally,the study explored the guide mechanism to public emotions of Zhihu,such as promoting emotional rationality through knowledge sharing,promoting emotional resonance through community clustering,emphasizing emotional aggregation through subject setting,promoting emotional communication through Digg mining and reducing emotional confrontation through self-digestion picket.In views of the above research on public emotion,the government and the media need to think about how to take the right emotional guidance to make the public emotion rational. |
