Base On IPMI Server Management Software And Hardware Design

The traditional method of monitoring and management system is a system administrator regularly to the room inspections or use PC software to monitor,the method has poor timeliness,server downtime cannot trace the cause,take up system resources more disadvantages;but using IPMI,the administrator can at any place through the network remote access server,from the records to obtain the event log and sensor data to the server system can analyze and confirm the fault and fault reasons,and through the relevant set to achieve server recovery,early warning function can earlier find the host server system the risks,so as to ensure the normal operation of the business.This method saves a lot of manpower and resources compared to traditional system monitoring and management methods.And more powerful than the remote desktop and rich features,more effective protection of the normal operation of the server system.This paper introduces the related concepts of IPMI management,and in the domestic and foreign research present situation and prospects of development,analyzes a series of problems existing in current management mode,and the defects of current management are summarized;the characteristics of the current management,based on the server management improvement on the traditional method-a the new server system management server management system based on IPMI(Inspur-IPMI)wave.The function of each module in the framework of the system is analyzed and designed.The system includes real-time monitoring,early warning and other functions.The server system monitors the state of the server in real time,finds out the status of the whole server network node,and judges the network's breaking,monitoring the network node's OS,IP,host name,network traffic and so on.Static information can monitor various components within the server,but also dynamic information of each component of the monitoring server;in early warning,when the monitored quantity beyond the threshold of abnormal events,the software will also be through various forms of alarm,alarm events recorded in log log analysis,administrator according to the alarm diagnosis.A large number of decentralized server centralized management environment is particularly obvious advantages.This thesis adopts IPMI based management,through the common browser interface to achieve the realization of IPMI hardware and software realization method,finally through the strict test server host platform in the wave of the actual and the management terminal,the function of project has been fully implemented,to enhance the management mode and method of server system,effectively reduce the operation and maintenance customer cost and guarantee the normal operation of the customer service,improve the health and reliability of the server system.
