The Design Of The Mobile Intelligent Inventory And Shelf Handling System

Radio frequency identification(RFID)is a technology that uses radio frequency signal to identify objects and obtain information from objects.It can track a target positioned in invisible or even non-reachable areas.RFID is widely used in fields like warehousing management,logistics,public facilities management for it's a reusable,pollution immune and high concurrency technology.In 2006,RFID was first introduced in domestic libraries and from then on RFID-based library drew the attention of the society for it makes the traditional library more intelligent,convenient and secure.Based on the study of the application of RFID-based library both at home and abroad,this thesis proposes a kind of management mode of normalized process,distributed management,intelligent assistance and mobile office to improve the efficiency of the current fixed workstation used in RFID-based library.According to the novel distributed management process,this thesis has designed a mobile library inventory system.The designed intelligent mobile library inventory system consists of high performance RFID hardware complying with the ISO 18000-6C protocol and feature-rich software.The hardware platform consists of a high-performance RFID reader,high-gain directional antennas,user-friendly input and output devices,a high-capacity power supply,a high-capacity power supply and so on.The system can identify books in the range of 8 meters and it can read more than 160 books just in one minute with one-time successful rate higher than 92 percent for each reading.It is very consistent with the library application requirements for its excellent performance and high reliability.The software has a good performance in handling library relevant jobs.It can shelve books,collect information of the books to be read,make statistics about books and can export above messages in excel format for data recording and analysis.It has user-friendly interface,fast speed and strong stability.In the current intelligent library construction solutions,the system propsed by this thesis is advanced and innovative to a certain degree.The intelligent mobile library inventory system has already been put into practical use in a real library.Test result shows that the sysytem has high efficiency,stable performance and good user experience.After deploying the mobile inventory system,the library will be more flexible in human resource distribution,which greatly enhances the job efficiency.
