Fluorescent effect is a kind of widely used physical mechanism,and it has important applications in many fields such as biology,medicine,optoelectronics,display technology and so on.Based on the fluorescence effect and the principle of optical fiber,two kinds of sensors are proposed,which are fluorescence fiber optic temperature sensor and fluorescence fiber optic arc sensor.The fluorescence fiber optic temperature sensor has high sensitivity,strong anti-interference ability,and can be used in a variety of harsh environments,so that it can make up for many shortcomings of traditional temperature sensors.In the paper we emphatically introduces the fluorescence optical fiber temperature sensor based on fluorescence lifetime,and make a detailed analysis of the phase lock detection method of using sine wave and square wave to modulate fluorescent life and its Matlab Simulink simulition.Through the simulation we can understand the working process of the fluorescence lifetime phase lock detection method better.Compared with the optical fiber temperature sensor with fluorescence intensity type,the fluorescence lifetime fiber optic temperature sensor is only related to the fluorescence lifetime,has strong anti-interference ability,and has higher accuracy.With the theory of fluorescence effect and optical fiber,this paper designs a kind of electric arc sensor,and this paper introduces the design process in detail.In the design process,we used two kinds of fluorescent probe,by improving the first kind of fluorescent probe we got the second.In the process of design,we performed several tests and data analysis on the two kinds of fluorescence probes,then we made the least square fitting to analyze the data.and made the fitting curves with the Matlab software.By comparing the fitting curves of two kinds of probes,it is obvious that the response voltage of the second types of fluorescent probe is higher than the first one in white,yellow,and violet light sources,an average of 40%higher.Finally,the threshold of the sensor is determined by the data.The sensor's response time in microsecond level.Fluorescence electric arc sensor can be used to detect the power equipment fault and fire disaster with it has high sensitivity and fast response time.More of this kind of sensor can form a distributed network monitoring system and it can greatly expand monitoring scope.
