With the development of network and wireless access technology,multi-homed mobile terminals are becoming more and more popular.The traditional transport protocols such as TCP and UDP do not support path mobile handoff,the new connection-oriented control protocol for New Internet(COTCP),select the best path in multiple paths as the main path while the other path as an alternative path.When a multi-homed mobile terminal switches between different networks,the connection may be interrupted due to changes in network conditions.This thesis design and implement a mobile handoff mechanism based on the connection identification.Before the mobile handoff,the path to be switched is predicted,and the connection is maintained during the handoff.Firstly,this thesis studies the new Internet architecture,analyzes the advantages of using the connection identify for transmission,and studies and implements the connection identify and the socket based on the connection identify.Communicating with a connection identify allows you to manage connections more efficiently,enhance mobility and security.Secondly,this thesis designs and implements a mobile handoff module based on connection identify,including path state module,mobile pre-switching module and path parameter estimation module.In the path parameter module,this thesis studies and implements a variety of path selection mechanisms,including bandwidth-based routing,routing based on RTT,and routing based on congestion windows.The mobile handoff mechanism based on the connection identify can detect the change of the network and make the pre-judgment,and select the optimal path as the main path after the switch.Finally,this thesis tests and validates the mobile handoff mechanism based on connection identification.Through the test,it shows that the scheme can meet the functional requirements of mobile handoff.When the network condition changes,the path can be switched in time,and the optimal path is selected for path switching.
