With the rapid development of China's electric power industry and the improvement of the level of urbanization,the use of power cable is increasing rapidly.As an important part of power system,the safe and reliable operation of power cable lines is of great significance to urban power network.In particular,the high voltage cross-linked polyethylene insulated power cable,because of its strong mechanical strength,convenient installation and maintenance,excellent insulation performance,large transmission capacity etc,is used more and more widely.Once the Power cable was caught by problems,not only need to put off the power,but also need to spend a lot of manpower and resources for circuit troubleshooting.Thus,real-time monitoring of cable terminal running,timely warning of fire,avoid blackouts maintenance and reduce economic losses and improve power quality for reliable operation of the entire power system is particularly necessary.The main content of this paper is to study and analyze the fault mechanism and causes of the failure of the cable terminal.The finite element software ANSYS was used to simulate and analyze the temperature field of the cable terminal,its aim to compare and analyze the temperature field of the cable and its surrounding environment,to find the temperature rise obviously.According to the different phenomenon of the fault,the state monitoring method of several cable terminals was proposed.A remote monitoring system for the fire alarm of cable terminal is designed.This issue is State Grid Power Company of Tianjin innovation funded projects.In this paper,the research and analysis of the cable terminal fire alarm system is carried out in the following aspects:(1)Investigated the problem of the damage of the cable terminal,found the location and the form of the cable terminal.With the development of on-line monitoring technology and temperature detection technology,the appropriate monitoring method is found out.(2)Use three-dimensional modeling software Solidworks and ANSYS completed the 3D modeling of cable terminal and mode analysis of terminal temperature,draw the temperature distribution and temperature rise curves of the monitoring points.The analysis showed that the temperature monitoring points were suitable for the horizontal distance of 350 mm,and the vertical distance of 90 mm.(3)Based on the theory of running state monitoring technology,put forward the on-line fault monitoring scheme of cable terminal.Using temperature sensor and other sensors to monitor the running status of the cable terminal and inform the relevant staff through GSM and wireless communication promptly.To further reduce the false alarm rate,the processor was designed with four algorithms,and the temperature signal was analyzed and judged many times.(4)Design an on-line monitoring system based on single-chip microcomputer control unit,which included a single chip microcomputer as the control unit,a monitoring' host computer based on the force control configuration software,and RS485 and GSM communication were used to realize the remote control of cable state.
