Tilapia,a good species that the Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO)of United Nations recommend for farming,has become the worldwide fish for more than 100 countries and regions have been cultivating it.In 2008,the national tilapia industry technical system was established with approval of Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Finance to strengthen the combination of scientific research and production.The industry economic data including tilapia species and sales price,for the system,they are indispensable basic research and related to system sustainable development,for other farmers,these data affect their economic benefits,so,we should pay more attention on them.At present,on one hand,workers need to go to many grounds of system to do a survey to collect data,which will waste time and energy as experimental stations of the system all over the country and lead to there is no guarantee that the accuracy and real-time of data,on the other hand,most of test stations are located in a remote rural or mountainous area,where the network infrastructure is poor,so,fishermen cannot report data to the system or require information directly by the internet;In addition,other tilapia practitioners are still lack of a effective way to get more reliable information.In order to solve the problem of time-consuming and laborious during the process of data collecting and achieve the goal of better integration of reporting data,at the same time,effer farmers a effective way to obtain data,we need to improve tilapia industry data collection method.For these reasons,this paper designs and develops Short Message Service system for the tilapia industry.The design of this system aims to meet needs of tilapia industry system and convenient for industrial data acquisition work.The system mainly includes following three functions:Each test station can submit tilapia wholesale,retail,and gate price information of their own markets by sending a message to the system;The system will save submitted information in a form of database according to different time and markets to help other tilapia employees to inquire relevant industry data of their target time or target site by simply sending a short message even in some place where there is no network signal,in this way,all people can share with data;Some laborers who worked at grassroots are busying in aquaculture which leads to their forgotten of reporting data regularly,therefore,the program can be set to another function called" scheduling software",which can remind users to submit data in the form of text message when workers have to report within the stipulated time,which will prevent omission.This paper is based on Short Message Service(SMS)technology and GSM Modem to research,design,develop and test the system.The result showed that the system ran stably and fast,content analysis quickly and accurately,low cost and greatly improved the working efficiency.The system can meet needs of users and achieve budget targets,and the feedback of the result is satisfied which can indicate the system has wide development prospects.
