With the rapid development of the Internet,users need not only stay in voice and broadband,but also need to do more applications through the network,so the bandwidth of the network is a great test.In order to meet the needs of the entire customer market,the communication technology has been developed,in which the optical communication technology has become the main development direction because of its advanced nature,and has played an irreplaceable role.PON(passive optical network)is the active devices that do not contain any fiber distribution network,end to end users from the Bureau consists entirely of passive devices such as optical splitter.The optical spatial multiplexing and wavelength division multiplexing,time compression multiplexing,optical subcarrier multiplexing 4 bidirectional transmission technology and TDMA,wavelength division multiple access CDMA,and a total of 4 kinds of subcarrier multiple access multiple access technology.PON technology has the advantages of high bandwidth rate,strong anti-interference ability,low occupation of local resources,relatively low cost,simple maintenance,easy to expand and upgrade.Network planning is to build the network should have the following features: high performance,reliability and expansibility and scalability,easy management and maintenance,advanced and mature,security and confidentiality,flexibility and comprehensiveness,quality of service can be guaranteed.In network planning,the hierarchical model is commonly used,and the hierarchical model is composed of 3 layers,which are the access layer,the distribution layer and the core layer.Has the following advantages of network design with hierarchical model: 3 layer structure reduces the load of main equipment of inner network,reduce CPU overhead and network bandwidth consumption;convenient network management,reduce network operation and maintenance costs;simplify the design elements,easy to understand;the hierarchical structure is easy to change,easy to expand.This paper first introduces the theory of PON technology and network programming technology,then in an engineering example,PON technology will be applied to network planning and design,to achieve the desired objectives through the completion of the PON service configuration.
