TD-LTE is a link between the third and fourth generation mobile communication technology.It can meet the growing business needs in terms of capacity and bandwidth to a certain extent,and it also expand gradually all over the world.As the mainstream technology of third generation mobile communication network,TD-SCDMA is by the construction of China.The TD-LTE has the nature of the smooth evolution of TD-SCDMA equipment.So how to build a network using the TD-LTE will be further concerned about by Network construction personnel and people who care for TD-LTE network planner.Network planning is network construction process which collects analysis,network forecasting,engineering design,network performance testing and system parameter adjustment.This is a integrated technology that needs many practical experience and knowledge accumulation.This paper firstly describes the research status at home and abroad of TD-LTE.It explains the basic principle of TD-LTE network from the angles of TR-LTE network structure and wireless access technology frame structure.It analyzes the key TD-LTE network technology from the angles of ICIC,OFDM and MIMO.It also points out the planning feature of TD-LTE network from the angles of frequency,capacity and coverage planning characteristic.Secondly,it makes the overall technical analysis of TD-LTE network planning,and describes the theory and needs analysis of TD-LTE network planning.Then it discusses the performance of TD-LTE network planning in the point of capacity performance analysis and covering performance analysis.At last,it gives the analysis of within the system and inter-system interference.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the configuration guidelines of wireless macro base station,as well as discusses the design method of TD-LTE network from the perspective of design process,the base station design exploration and simulation process.Finally,it carries on LTE network planning case study against TD-LTE network coverage situation of A city.It comes out that we can not meet all the cover requirements even if the network planning of TD-SCDMA base stations existing network is fully used by analyzing the status of A city and the coverage plan of Base station A city distribution,simulation planning principles,the principle of site selection and planning and simulation settings.So the keys to achieving complete coverage and planning objectives are add new base station,parameter adjustment and indoor coverage.The innovations of this paper are as follows.First,the effective combination of the use of the original 3G site and the new site not only can improve network construction speed,but also save network construction cost.Second,using simulation software to simulate the actual effect of construction will have practical significance to the network construction.
