Research And Implementation Of Key Technology Based On Open EdX About Mongolian MOOC Platform

With the widespread use of MOOC teaching methods and the great progress of Mongolian information,Mongolian users urgently need a Mongolian MOOC platform with perfect function that follows the MOOC teaching development process and is consistent with the world mainstream platform.Mongolian high quality teaching and learning resources can be promoted by establishing Mongolian MOOC platform,which can promote the Mongolian online education platform and development of resource construction in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.Moreover,it has a positive effect on the Mongolian information processing standards and technologies in educational field.This paper expounds the characteristics of Mongolian MOOC platform,then summarizes and analyzes four main problems that need to be solved in the Mongolian MOOC platform based on the Open edX system.In this paper,the research work focuses on the four main problems and analyzes the key technology of Mongolian MOOC platform,then offers the transformation plan and the realization process.The research work is as follows:(1)For the construction of Mongolian MOOC platform,we need to deploy Open edX system for the actual test and development.Production and development environment are established through cloud service.Based on the LXC container technology,the Open edX system on the remote server is moved to the local server.Problems about poor network environment caused installation failure and later collaborative development etc.are solved.(2)Open edX user interface has the following problems: Mongolian text is broken;Mongolian text is deformed incorrectly;Mongolian text is displayed messy code etc.In order to solve those problems,principle about displaying Mongolian characters in the browser is analyzed.Then rendering rules of Open edX interface font are rewritten and a variety of online embedded fonts are adopted as global font of user interface.(3)In order to solve the problem that user interface of Open ed X does not support the traditional Mongolian vertical display,code directories structure of Open ed X is analyzed.Taking advantage of the mechanism of theme about Open edX,original code is transformed and a Mongolian theme is built to solve the problem of Mongolian vertical display.(4)In order to solve the problem that the Markdown editor of Open edX does not support the traditional Mongolian vertical display and edit,the realization method of editor Markdown for Mongolian is offered through analyzing the structure and edit mode of markdown editor.(5)In order to solve the problem that the Open ed X does not support the traditional Mongolian retrieval,characters of word formation about Mongolian that conforms to international coding standards are analyzed.ElasticSearch distributed search framework and Lucene toolkit are analyzed and Mongolian analyzer plugin that complies with characters of word formation about Mongolian is designed.Then Mongolian distributed retrieval based on ElasticSearch is realized.
