With the development of military information technology, military authorities in their efforts to improve the armament technology,at the same time, they are increasingly concerned about the research on the battlefield situation system. In the course of military exercises,real-time display of the exercise situation can facilitate the commander to observe and analyze the battlefield,so that troops can maintain information superiority in the combat operations. After the exercise, the playback and assessment of the exercise can help to summarize the combat experience. In our country, real exercise is the main form of military training, but at present the research of real exercise situation assessment software system is lagging behind. The current systems have the following problems:Firstly, system functions are relatively simple.Secondly, exercise situation information feedback is not comprehensive. What is more, exercise playback mechanism is not flexible. These problems have negative effects on the exercise assessment, which is restricting the improvement of the combat training. In order to meet the needs of combat training, the thesis designs a battlefield situation assessment system based on WPF.The system has a variety of functions, such as real-time display of exercise,real-time statistic on casualties, playback of exercise, generating exercise assessment reports, and so on.The system is able to feedback the state information comprehensively,to show casualties on both sides by charts vividly,to realize the function of playback flexibly, and it also can generate, export and print assessment reports. At the same time, the thesis designs some data tables to work with the battlefield situation assessment system, such as exercise information table, exercise playback table, casualty statistic table, and so on.Firstly, the thesis introduces the overall design of battlefield situation assessment system. The system can be divided into two functional modules. The first module is real-time display and statistic functional module, which is used during the exercise. The second module is playback and assessment functional module, which is used after the exercise.According to the specific functions of the two functional modules, the thesis designs basic setting module, exercise live module, casualty statistic module, playback module and assessment report module as sub-modules.The main part of the thesis details the design of database and the battlefield situation assessment system. The thesis focuses on the design of the four main sub-modules,including exercise live module, casualty statistic module, playback module and assessment report module. In order to give more comprehensive feedback on the status of the trainees, the thesis designs a trainee marker control by using a custom control. The trainee marker control can display the status information returned by the lower machine in time. The thesis uses ZedGraph to draw histograms, which can show the casualties of the exercises in real time. The playback module uses multithreading technology, which can achieve the function of exercise situation playback. At the same time, the playback module has player-style user interfaces,so that users can choose the exercise session, control the progress of playback and set the speed of playback according to the actual situation. The thesis uses the Crystal Report technology to design the assessment reports, which can comprehensively reflect the exercise situation. Finally, the thesis describes the process and methods of system testing, and analyses the test results of main functions. The test results show that the system is stable, the data is accurate, the interface is clear, and the system is easy to operate. So the system has good application value.
