If we trace back software development history,we could find that there are two different and important modes. One is water fall development mode, and the other is agile development mode. The key elements are testing drive development and quick responding to user request.Agile development mode covers the whole software development lifecycle. It plays an important role in pushing development schedule and improving communication efficiency among team members.Agile development mode is widely used in foreign countries. In comparison,we are still in the exploration stage. On the other side, usability test has become more and more popular recently. Many large internet companies are likely to focus on it to improve consumer experience. The two parts, collecting user data and performing usability test, have different start time based on different software development scales.Anyway, they have the same target, which is to make products meet user’s demand.Along with the consumer choices becoming more and more complex,it is a big challenge for most producers.Meanwhile,it is also an opportunity. It is time to have some change. In current software and production line,we focus on software development speed and quality. On the other hand,we also keep focus on how to fully meet user’s request. What we discuss in this article is that how and when these two elements combine together. Here we not only talk about the research result of each part, but also discuss the key time of the combination of the two parts. We will also provide one sample which is the tool complied by Visual Basic and Oracle database to manage errors during development and compare the different quality level if they combine in different phases. We want to show the potential key time based on the combination of principle and real data. But to be honest, due to different organizations and different software scales,we need to do the right thing but not just copy others directly. Therefore, what we discuss here in this article is based on the author’s projects and experiences in practical work.
