Nowadays,the mainstream network architecture using in the Internet is still the TCP/IP network architecture.But with the increasingly emergence of complex network applications,the traditional TCP/IP protocol has exposed drawbacks obviously,and it seriously hinder the development of business application.In recent years,the research of network architecture with high performance has been widely concerned at home and abroad.But most of the researches are to improve the traditional hierarchical network architecture.Although the network performance was improved and does solve the immediate problems at this stage,but the imperfection of scalability and QoS guarantee mechanism of hierarchical network architecture cannot be completely solved.In order to overcome these fundamental problems,it is urgent to study new network architecture,which can be well adapted to the development of the network.The main productions are as follows:(1)Discuss the disadvantages of traditional network architecture and introduce a new non-hierarchical network architecture--Micro Communication Network.By referring to the internal implementation mechanism of hierarchical network architecture,the new architecture based on service unit subdivide the granularity of service into elements.And the service elements are non-hierarchical and loosely coupled.It not only definites various kinds of basic service for applications,but also allows users to customize the service element to expand the network function to improve its scalability.(2)Dissessed the improved design based on the characteristics of the micro communication element network architecture.Including the improvement of send and receive window for non-emergency text data and emergency text data,and the improvement of the response strategies,as well as the improvement of congestion control algorithm.Due to the use of virtual circuit,the flow control and a variety of response mechanism of the original TCP/IP architecture become inefficient and redundant.According to the characteristics of virtual circuit message,we design a new sliding window protocol and fast retransmission mechanism.Besides,we increase the congestion control bit in the redesigned message format,and designed the new congestion control algorithm based on feedback regulations.The improved algorithms and strategies adapt to the characteristics of the new architecture well,it has greatsignificance to improve the performance of the micro communication element network architecture.(3)Dissessed the design of the basic prototype model,including the design of each function module,service unit and virtual circuit.What's more,we analysis on the prototype design and implementation detailly,especially the virtual circuit management module.(4)At the end,experiments were measured a plurality of performance parameters under the service element network architecture and TCP/IP architecture.By contrast,it proved that this new network architecture has good QoS performance,especially for large flow of reliable transmission.
