Mobile communications technology development to the present,has experienced the development phase from 1G to 4G.Except for 1G network which is narrowband analog system have been eliminated from the network,2G to 4G networks are allocated with the corresponding frequency.Domestic frequency distribution,2G network is mainly in the range of 800 MHz to 900 MHz,3G is near 2000 MHz and 4G higher.Under the free space loss formula,the higher the frequency is,the greater the loss is.Due to the development of technology,the evolution from 2G to 3/4G is an inevitable trend.2G spectrum resources will gradually idle.Because 2G can not completely withdraw from the current networks,how to make full use of the low frequency resources which existing 2G coverage,frequency spectrum refarming has become a common concern.This paper introduces the WCDMA UMTS900MHz(U900)network technology research.Through frequency spectrum refarming,some of the original GSM 900M(G900)frequency can be used for the UMTS network.Two sets of networks coexist in the same frequency band.How to carry out the spectrum planning and reduce interference as much as possible has become the focus of this paper.The research work of this paper starts from the technical characteristics of U900,and introduces the principle of U900 network deployment and the proposal of the frequency spectrum refarming scheme of G/U900 from the frequency planning and interference of 900 M.From concrete analysis for aspects of economy and feasibility based on five typical construction scheme of actual scene,derive the scene that suitable for deployment of U900 network: U900 should be deployed on suitable contiguous terrain with traffic is not too busy,and the buffer in the right size.Based on specific cases,propose the U900 deployment planning in Province Anhui,and finally verify the effectiveness of the above planning with an example.Finally,we summarize the full text,and put forward some prospects for further research.
