With the social progress of science and technology,the ground network can not meet the needs of the people,the satellite communication will become an important part of future communication systems,but the routing protocol of satellite communication network in satellite communication network has a direct impact on the performance,so the research on routing protocol of satellite communications network is of great significance to improve the performance of satellite communication network.Aiming at the development of GEO satellite communication network routing technology and its characteristics,analyses the basic theory and algorithm of OSPF protocol and its configuration in OPNET,using OPNET built a GEO satellite network model and a wide-area network model,and on the basis of the existing node model modified,designed the GEO satellite node model,comparison and analyzes the OSPF routing protocol in GEO satellite network and wide-area network convergence performance.OSPF routing protocol in the GEO satellite network convergence cycle is long.Changing the OSPF routing protocol Hello Interval timer parameter values can shorten the convergence time of the OSPF routing protocol to increase network overhead.while OSPF routing protocol Hello Interval timer values of the parameters are 15 seconds,the GEO satellite network can get optimal network performance.Finally in the GEO satellite network simulation model,by adding SITL gateway to realize the semi-physical simulation.Statistics are collected in the SITL simulation,which provide a development platform for the further study of GEO satellite communication network routing technology.
