As the core component of information management systems of enterprises, a well-organized personnel management system helps enterprises manage information of their staff. To be more detailed, the system contributes to fast checking of staff's salaries and performance, analyses of various information and decision-making.After in-depth and extensive investigations, the author obtained the system demands based on the real situation of the personnel system of a culture media company the author working in. With adoption of widely-used Java development language, comprehensive My Eclipse, convenient relational database management system SQL Server and modeling tool Visio, the system was designed and developed through four stages of demand analysis, system analysis and modeling, system designing and modeling and system test and improvement.In order to be convenient, flexible, practical and interface-friendly, the system includes a series of subsystems. They are complete staff's information management system, convenient attendance information management system, friendly salary information management system, just reward and punishment information management system, objective performance information management system and powerful statistic system.Through this system, ordinary employees will be able to search their files, salaries,attendances and rewards and punishments by inputting names or job numbers. By inputting department name or department number, managers will be able to search staff information of a department; register, modify, delete, retrieve, search and make statistics of staff information; search, modify and make statistics of on/off duty, leaves and overtimes of staff; check salaries in accordance with attendance, performance,public reserve funds, pensions, working positions, duties and welfare; register, modify,search and make statistics of rewards and punishments of staff; calculate staff performance according to attendance, rewards and punishments and workloads and can add, search, delete and modify when needed. Performance information includes job number, name, reward and punishment amount and total, which can be classified according to different departments.This system can provide personnel management of culture communication enterprises with services of information storage, searching and statistics, which remarkably elevates the efficiency of personnel management.
